Vacation Hangover

We just returned from two weeks in sunny Florida visiting my parents. Yep, my husband finally got leave. It was a much-needed break from the stressful couple of months we just got through and, though we’re both suffering vacation hangovers (the urge to abandon life as you know it and move to the lovely, tropical place you just left) we both feel recharged. Plus, Connal got in some great time with his nana and papa. Now that he’s 18 months old, he should actually remember who they are when they come up to visit.

Connal -- Cape Coral Beach

Connal had his first beach experience. He was a little weirded out by the sand for a minute, but immediately took to it. He walked right into the water as if we have an ocean shore in our back yard.

After a few days with the coolest float ever, he was swimming around the pool on his own. So proud of my little fish.

I got a lot of reading done in those relaxing times and reviews are forthcoming. Christopher Moore’s Love Story #2 and #3 , An Idiot Girls Christmas by Laurie Notaro, Why I’m Like This by Cynthia Kaplan, and most of Breeder.

I will be creating quick links for my Laurie Notaro reviews, like I wanted to do a couple years ago, as well as the Janet Evanovich reviews. Soon I will be reading Deborah Coonts Lucky Stiff and Wanna Get Lucky?
