Speed Reading Update 1
Posted on | July 17, 2010 | 2 Comments
I haven’t been working every day on the program like I should, but have been reading as much as possible. I just finished Chapter 3 in Breakthrough Rapid Reading. speed reading. I’ve often thought about buying a book or program to try out and see if it works. I finally decided to buy Breakthrough Rapid Reading.
I’ve been reading using my finger as a pacer. I had heard a few times that this alone will help improve a person reading speed and eliminate or reduce regressions (which I always did a LOT). It really does. Using your fingertip to scroll along beneath the line your reading is definitely worth getting used to doing.
Since I started this, I’ve finished a novella, One for the Money and Two for the Dough, both by Janet Evanovich, and Jesus Land by Julia Scheers. Not bad for two weeks of reading. I’ve got quite a few books lined up and, of course, reviews of the ones I’ve read will be up soon.

I am intrigued to find a book lover learning about speed reading… Tell me more. Do you feel you are a slow reader or do you just want to read more quickly? Do you want to see if you can improve your reading speed? How has the change in the speed of your reading altered your comprehension?
I just started my first blog. I am going to review books also. I’ve been reviewing the books I read for several years so I decided to do it in blog form.
I’d love to have you look at my site:

Many thanks,

I was a pretty fast reader, but who wouldn’t want to read faster? As a book lover, my end goal is to be able to read more books in any amount of time. I have improved my reading speed significantly already. I would like to improve my recall of books, but that has little to do with the process as much as it does how I retain and recall the information I’ve read.
I checked out your blog. It’s great! I love your style of reviewing — a little synopsis/a little opinion, not too wordy. I’ll be sure to stop by in the future.
